Saudi Arabia states position on Palestine issue remains unchanged

Riyadh (ANTARA) - Saudi Arabia’s position on the Palestine issue remains unchanged, a Saudi source told Al Arabiya television on Monday (25 May). The source emphasised the need for “an irreversible path toward a Palestinian state.” The statement follows US President Donald Trump urging Muslim-majority and regional countries to normalise relations with Israel and join the Abraham Accords. In a social media post, Trump said leaders of several nations had discussed efforts to end the war with Iran, adding that countries involved should “at least” sign the agreement simultaneously. The Abraham Accords, mediated by the US in 2020 during Trump’s first presidency, normalised ties between Israel and several Arab nations. Saudi Arabia has repeatedly stated it will not normalise relations with Israel without the establishment of a Palestinian state.
