Minister for Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani has disclosed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has offered Danantara an ownership stake in Madinah Airport. The offer was conveyed directly to Rosan during a meeting with Saudi Investment Minister Fahad bin Abduljalil Al-Saif and a royal advisor in Jeddah some time ago.

“Coincidentally, the Saudi Investment Minister is also a friend. During the meeting, which also included the King’s advisor, one of the areas of cooperation discussed was Madinah Airport, where we were offered for Danantara to have an ownership portion in Madinah Airport. It was offered directly to me,” he stated.

Rosan added that his team will soon meet with representatives from the Mada Group, the entity that owns the airport in Madinah, to further explore the opportunity. “We are currently exploring this, and the team will soon meet with the team from the Mada Group,” he said.

Beyond the airport stake offer, Rosan confirmed he reported on several other matters to President Prabowo Subianto during a limited cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Thursday, 6 August 2026. One key update concerned the development progress of the Hajj village in Makkah, with the President requesting a detailed briefing on the project’s advancement. “We are also in the process of selecting the architect and the design illustrations, as the President requested an update,” Rosan explained.
