Saudi Arabia extends online learning in Riyadh until 22 October

Riyadh (ANTARA) — Saudi Arabia has extended distance learning in Riyadh until 22 October. In a post on social media platform X, the Saudi Ministry of Education said lessons would continue through the Madrasati platform and other official online education platforms, covering all pupils, teachers and administrative staff at schools in Riyadh and Diriyah Governorate.

Schools in the areas switched to online learning for one week from 11 October, a day after a missile attack on King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The attack killed 12 people and injured 309, according to the General Authority of Civil Aviation.

Yemen’s Houthi group has repeatedly targeted the airport in recent days.
