JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia does not permit its territory to be used as a launchpad for attacks against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“Asserting that we are unwilling and reject turning our territory, our regions, our seas, our airspace into a place to attack Iran,” said Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal Abdullah Al Amoudi, at his residence in Jakarta on Thursday (16/4/2026), as reported by ANTARA on Friday (17/4/2026).

“We want to emphasise that in facing this incident, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always prioritises a stance of restraint and seeks to prevent the region from developing into a broader battlefield,” said Faisal Abdullah Al Amoudi.

On that occasion, the Ambassador reiterated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is not part of this war.

Furthermore, Faisal also assessed that the impact of the conflict in the region is highly dangerous and has clearly affected the global economy and energy security.

“The impacts are evident through rising ticket prices, fuel prices, and energy prices, as well as increased costs in the supply chain,” he said.
