Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned and denounced what it characterised as open Iranian aggression and expressed solidarity with the sovereignty of several countries targeted in the region.

Through an official statement from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on social media platform X on Saturday, Saudi Arabia highlighted actual violations of the sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan.

“The Kingdom affirms its full solidarity and unwavering support for these brotherly nations, as well as its readiness to deploy all its capabilities to support any steps they may take,” the statement read.

Saudi Arabia also warned of serious consequences arising from continued violations of state sovereignty and principles of international law.

In its statement, Saudi Arabia also called on the international community to condemn the Iranian attacks and take firm measures whilst maintaining stability in the region.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia calls on the international community to condemn these open attacks and take all necessary firm steps to address Iran’s violations that undermine the security and stability of the region,” the statement added.

The United States and Iran had previously held three rounds of indirect negotiations concerning Iran’s nuclear programme, mediated by Oman.

Then on Saturday morning local time, Israel and the United States launched strikes against Iran. These strikes marked the second such operation conducted during the Trump administration since the first attack in June 2025.

Iran subsequently launched a series of retaliatory strikes targeting American military bases distributed across several countries in the Middle East region.
