Saudi Ambassador Assures Safe Hajj in 2026 Amid Middle East Crisis
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Indonesia, Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Amudi, has emphasised that the Hajj pilgrimage in 2026 will take place safely and according to plan, even as the Middle East region is gripped by geopolitical tensions.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, praise be to God, remains safe to this day,” said Ambassador Faisal during a press conference at his residence in Jakarta on Tuesday.
According to the ambassador, all preparations this year are proceeding smoothly in line with the Saudi government’s plans. “Everything will run smoothly,” he stated.
Previously, on 13 March, Ambassador Faisal had said that preparations for the 2026 Hajj season had been carried out well with no major obstacles.
“God willing, preparations are running smoothly, according to plan, and God willing, there will be no impacts whatsoever,” he said.
He further emphasised that flights to Saudi Arabia will also transport Hajj pilgrims in accordance with the established schedule.
For this reason, he said, the Saudi government urges the Indonesian public not to worry, as Hajj preparations continue to proceed according to plan.
