JAKARTA – The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Indonesia, Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Amudi, has affirmed that the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage will proceed safely and according to plan, despite geopolitical tensions engulfing the Middle East region.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, praise be to God, remains safe to this day,” said Ambassador Faisal during a press conference at his residence in Jakarta on Tuesday (24/3/2026).

He conveyed that all preparations for this year’s Hajj organisation are running smoothly in line with the Saudi government’s plans.

“Everything will proceed smoothly,” he stated.

Previously, on 13 March, Ambassador Faisal also stated that preparations for the 2026 Hajj season have been carried out well without significant obstacles.

“God willing, the preparations are running smoothly according to plan and there is no impact whatsoever,” he said.

He added that flights transporting Hajj pilgrims will also continue to operate according to the established schedule.

Therefore, the Saudi government advises the Indonesian public not to worry, as the entire preparation process for the Hajj pilgrimage remains on course as planned.
