BMKG forecaster Medayu Bestari, in an online briefing broadcast from Jakarta on Saturday, reported that cities in Sumatra such as Aceh, Medan (North Sumatra), Padang (West Sumatra), Jambi, Pekanbaru (Riau), Pangkal Pinang (Bangka Belitung Islands), and Palembang (South Sumatra), are likely to experience light to moderate rain.

Meanwhile, Tanjung Pinang (Riau Islands), Bengkulu, and Bandar Lampung have the potential for heavy rain with lightning.
