SATU Indonesia Awards 2026 Officially Launched: Here Are the Recipient Criteria
The spirit of the Astra Integrated for Indonesia Awards, or SATU Indonesia Awards, is returning with a fresh enthusiasm. Not only does it seek to discover inspirational young people, but it also ensures that every initiative born from them can connect, grow, and deliver tangible, wider impacts for society.
The launch of the 17th edition of the SATU Indonesia Awards this year was marked by a kick-off event on Wednesday (1 April 2026) as the initial step in screening more young Indonesians with initiatives and real contributions to society. This kick-off also served as a moment to introduce the ‘Connected in Action’ theme for the 17th SATU Indonesia Awards 2026.
“Through this theme, Astra wants to convey that the concerns of the young generation need to be realised through collaboration and real action to create broader impacts. We encourage every initiative not to stop as just an idea, but to be continuously developed and implemented sustainably, including reaching communities in remote villages. Ultimately, sustainable change arises from connected actions that are strengthened together for today’s and Indonesia’s future,” said Astra’s Chief of Corporate Affairs, Boy Kelana Soebroto, at the Kick-Off of the 17th SATU Indonesia Awards titled ‘Connected in Action’ at Menara Astra, Jakarta, on Wednesday (1 April 2026).
This year, Astra is strengthening collaboration and integration between two flagship social contribution programmes: the SATU Indonesia Awards and Desa Sejahtera Astra. To date, the SATU Indonesia Awards has produced 792 inspirational young contributors in the fields of health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, and technology. Meanwhile, Desa Sejahtera Astra has nurtured 1,533 villages across 35 provinces in Indonesia.
Through this collaboration, Astra encourages SATU Indonesia Awards recipients to act as local champions in supporting the development of Desa Sejahtera Astra. Thus, initiatives from change-makers can deliver broader and more sustainable social impacts for society.
The kick-off of the 17th SATU Indonesia Awards 2026 also featured an inspirational AstraTalks discussion with speakers from the 17th SATU Indonesia Awards 2026 jury, including Nila Moeloek, Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (UI); Rizki Dwi Rahmawan, a 2013 SATU Indonesia Awards recipient and facilitator for Desa Sejahtera Astra in Mekanira, Purbalingga, Central Java; and Yudha Prasetya, Head of Brand Communications at Astra.
This discussion is expected to inspire more young people to play an active role in building a better Indonesia.
Since its first edition in 2010, the SATU Indonesia Awards has shown consistent growth. By 2025, the number of registrants had reached 17,708 participants. In screening inspirational youth, Astra is again partnering with Tempo, Antara, Kumparan, IDN Times, and Young On Top.
SATU Indonesia Awards recipients are entitled to development funding of Rp 65 million and Astra’s mentoring programme to strengthen their leadership and initiative sustainability. Furthermore, the initiatives of SATU Indonesia Awards recipients will be integrated into Desa Sejahtera Astra.
Astra’s spirit of always seeking young change-makers for sustainable progress aligns with Astra’s aspirations for Prosperity Together with the Nation and supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Indonesia.
