Satria Muda eyes Final Four in 2000
JAKARTA (JP): The newly-launched Mahaka Satria Muda basketball club aimed to compete in this year's NBA-like league Kobatama, a club official said on Tuesday.
Doedie Gambiro, the club's chief, said that his club has targeted to qualify for the final four by the year 2000 for its second time after 1996.
"We want to compete in the final four next year. This year, we plan to improve our club training," he said during a press conference of the club's launching.
Satria Muda, formerly called Ades Satria Muda, was set up on Oct. 1993 in Jakarta. The club is now supported by Dharma Bakti Mahaka foundation.
In last year's Kobatama competition, Ades Satria Muda failed to qualify for the final four. (ivy)
