The Ministry of Transportation will continue to innovate and coordinate with various parties to improve the quality of transportation services in the country. Jakarta (ANTARA) - Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi assured that the government is continuously enhancing the quality of national transportation through service improvements, infrastructure, and safety aspects to support public mobility and sustainable economic growth. “The Ministry of Transportation will continue to innovate and coordinate with various parties to improve the quality of transportation services in the country,” Dudy said in Jakarta on Thursday. The statement was made in response to survey results from the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), KedaiKOPI, and Indikator regarding the organisation of Eid transportation for 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE. The ITS survey showed that the public satisfaction index (IKM) for the 2026 Eid transportation organisation reached 82.15, which is in the good category, an increase of 3.45 points from the previous year. Meanwhile, the KedaiKOPI survey recorded that 88.8 percent of respondents were satisfied with the government-organised mudik management. Indikator noted a satisfaction rate among homecomers of 85.3 percent. “We appreciate the survey results from ITS, KedaiKOPI, and Indikator. Following the President’s directive, this year’s Eid transportation was conducted safely, securely, orderly, and under control,” he said. According to Dudy, the high level of public satisfaction reflects that the 2026 Eid transportation policies and programmes ran well and demonstrates the strength of collaboration among stakeholders. He also expressed appreciation to ministries and agencies, TNI/Polri, local governments, transport operators, mass media, and the public who contributed to the smooth running of the Eid transportation. “This achievement is not just a number, but a reflection of the collaboration of all stakeholders,” he said. As a result, rail transport recorded the highest satisfaction rate of 94.30, in the very good category, followed by road transport at 84.50, air transport at 82.12, sea transport at 81.78, and ferry crossings at 77.48. Traffic engineering policies such as the one-way system and contraflow also received positive responses from 80.8 percent of respondents.
