Satgas PRR: Additional TKD of Rp10.6 Trillion Boosts Post-Disaster Recovery
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Task Force for Accelerating Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (Satgas PRR) has revealed that an additional regional transfer of Rp10.65 trillion to disaster-affected areas in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra has been fully disbursed, serving as a significant impetus for accelerating post-disaster recovery in the three impacted provinces.
Quoted from a Satgas PRR statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, the regional transfers (TKD) were disbursed in stages to ensure accelerated liquidity at the local level.
The first stage, amounting to 40 per cent or Rp4.38 trillion, was disbursed on 27 February 2026. The second stage, 30 per cent or Rp3.19 trillion, followed on 31 March 2026.
Meanwhile, the third stage, 30 per cent or Rp3.06 trillion, was disbursed on 4 May 2026. All stages were implemented without disbursement conditions, allowing local governments to immediately accelerate recovery programmes on the ground.
This realisation also ensures that all local governments in the affected areas have adequate fiscal space to speed up rehabilitation and reconstruction post-disaster.
In aggregate, Aceh Province received an additional TKD of Rp1.65 trillion, North Sumatra Rp6.35 trillion, and West Sumatra Rp2.63 trillion.
For Aceh, eight severely affected districts/cities also received an additional Rp287 billion through a grant mechanism disbursed to a number of districts/cities in North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
Head of the Post-Disaster Sumatra Satgas PRR, Muhammad Tito Karnavian, stated that this additional TKD policy is a strategic step taken by President Prabowo Subianto to ensure rapid and equitable recovery across all affected areas.
“The President decided that all provinces and districts/cities would receive additional TKD. The total is around Rp10.6 trillion. This is to ensure recovery proceeds quickly and evenly,” Tito said in Medan, North Sumatra, on Wednesday (22/4).
He explained that the decision was made after considering real needs on the ground.
“If only the affected areas, the figure would be around Rp8 trillion, but the President decided to give it to everyone. This is a form of support for accelerating recovery,” he said.
Tito emphasised that the impact of the TKD disbursement is already visible on the ground. Basic infrastructure such as roads and bridges is now functionally operational again, logistics distribution faces no obstacles, and basic public services like electricity, fuel, and people’s market activities have resumed in most areas.
“As of today, we see that most areas are functionally normal. Roads are passable, logistics has no issues, electricity and markets are also running,” he explained.
With the full fiscal support disbursed, local governments are now in a phase of more massive recovery acceleration.
The construction of permanent housing, restoration of public facilities, and strengthening of the affected community’s economy are ensured to proceed more quickly with the availability of adequate funding.
