Sastra Saraswati Sewana Yatra 2026 Concludes at Prambanan Temple

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Sastra Saraswati Sewana Yatra 2026 series, organised by the Puri Kauhan Ubud Foundation, officially concluded at the Utama Mandala of Prambanan Temple, Yogyakarta, on Sunday, after a week of cultural journeys to a number of historic sites across Java and Bali.

Anak Agung Gde Ngurah Ari Dwipayana, Chairman of the Puri Kauhan Ubud Foundation, said the event formed part of the Jawa-Bali Cultural Assembly (Pasabhan Kabudayaan Jawa-Bali), which aims to strengthen the cultural relationship between the two regions through artistic performances and cultural dialogue.

“The great civilisation of the Nusantara was built upon a foundation of knowledge, spirituality, art, and respect for diversity. Culture is a bridge that unites, not one that divides,” he said in an official statement received on Sunday.

During the event, performances included the Sacred Mask Dance of Sri Aji Dalem Jawi and the Wayang Wong Tantri Nandaka Harana, which raised themes of leadership, unity, wisdom, tolerance, and teachings on the victory of dharma over adharma.

According to Ari Dwipayana, the event was warmly received by communities, religious figures, cultural practitioners, academics, regional governments, and cultural groups at each location along the route.
