Sastra Saraswati Sewana Yatra 2026 Concludes at Prambanan Temple

The Sastra Saraswati Sewana Yatra 2026 series, organised by the Puri Kauhan Ubud Foundation, officially concluded at the Utama Mandala of Prambanan Temple in Yogyakarta on Sunday, following a week-long cultural journey to a number of historical sites in Java and Bali. Chairman of the Puri Kauhan Ubud Foundation, Anak Agung Gde Ngurah Ari Dwipayana, stated that the activity was part of the Java-Bali Pasabhan Kabudayaan, which aims to strengthen cultural relations between the two regions through performances and cultural dialogue. ‘The great civilisation of the Nusantara is built upon the foundations of knowledge, spirituality, art, and respect for diversity. Culture is a bridge that unites, not one that divides,’ he said. During its run, the event featured performances of the Sacred Mask of Sri Aji Dalem Jawi and the Wayang Wong Tantri Nandaka Harana, which highlight the values of leadership, unity, wisdom, tolerance, and the triumph of dharma over adharma. According to Ari Dwipayana, the activity was well received by the public, religious figures, cultural practitioners, academics, local governments, and cultural communities at each hosting location.
