`Sarinah' to hold model contest

The Jakarta-based women's monthly magazine, Sarinah, will
organize a model and photo model contest next month to
commemorate its 12th anniversary.

The aspiring participants should be female between 18 and 24
years of age and should be 1.66 meters tall or more.

The participants must fill in the application forms enclosed
in July edition of the magazine and send them, together with full
and upper body shots, to Jl. Kapten Tendean No. 2, South Jakarta,
by July 30 at the latest. The participants should also submit
written permission from their parents to participate in the
contest .

The juries will select 14 finalists from a target of 1,000
participants and the winners will be announced on Sept. 2.

First place winners will receive trophies, return airfare from
Jakarta to Tokyo, advertising contracts and Rp 1.5 million cash.

The magazine also plans to hold a seminar with the theme "How
women can seize opportunities in their workplace" at the Atrium
World Trade Center, Central Jakarta, on Aug. 27. (smb)
