Sari Yuliati Visits West Nusa Tenggara Hajj Pilgrims in Mecca to Address Service Concerns
Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sari Yuliati, visited hotels housing 2026 Hajj pilgrims from Lombok and Mataram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The visit was to oversee the Hajj pilgrimage’s implementation and ensure optimal services for pilgrims.
During her visit, Sari also inspected the Hajj groups from West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) and listened directly to pilgrims’ feedback and concerns regarding services during their stay in the Holy Land.
“We have received various feedback and suggestions from NTB pilgrims. Alhamdulillah, the complaints are minimal, mostly regarding meal variety,” Sari said in a statement on 25 May 2026.
She noted that pilgrims highlighted concerns, particularly the need for better welfare of Hajj officials to ensure optimal service delivery.
According to Sari, these concerns will be discussed with the Amirul Hajj and the Ministry of Hajj to find the best solutions for improving future Hajj services.
“After this, we will meet with the Amirul Hajj and the Ministry of Hajj to compile all pilgrims’ feedback for discussion and to find the best solutions,” she said.
Sari also stressed that all parties must uphold their trust in managing the Hajj pilgrimage and not exploit the pilgrims’ sincerity.
“When pilgrims perform their rites with sincerity, that sincerity must not be exploited by neglecting their welfare and comfort during the pilgrimage,” she emphasised.
She hoped all Indonesian pilgrims would complete all Hajj rituals smoothly, devoutly, and in good health until their return home.
“We hope pilgrims perform their rites in good health, ensuring all Hajj rituals are completed properly. May the Hajj of all Indonesian pilgrims be accepted by Allah SWT, become a mabrur pilgrimage, and return home safely and unharmed,” she concluded.
During the visit, Sari also boosted morale among Lombok and Mataram pilgrims by distributing fruit and pocket money as a gesture of support during their pilgrimage.
