Sardjito Hospital on BPJS Patient Insult: We Don't Want Elda in Our Clinical Setting

Dr Sardjito General Hospital has returned Elda Putri Rahardini, who is currently a resident in the Specialist Medical Education Programme, to Gadjah Mada University. The hospital’s Legal and Public Relations Manager, Banu Hermawan, said the hospital does not want Elda to remain in clinical practice at Sardjito.

“We do not want Elda to be present in clinical practice at Sardjito,” Banu said when contacted by journalists on Thursday (6/8/2026).

Elda was returned to UGM after her comments about BPJS patient Yurizal on social media went viral. Elda’s comment on Yurizal’s post, in which he complained about waiting eight hours without getting a treatment room, went viral because it was considered insulting.

Banu said the hospital has conducted an investigation into the incident. The suspension of Elda’s clinical practice is a step taken as part of the investigation process.

“If it is like this, we will suspend her education, her educational process, during the further investigation we will first suspend her from this dignified education,” he stressed.

“Sardjito’s authority is to suspend the person concerned from what is called a clinical rotation. That is practice at Sardjito. We are suspending that. But the authority to deactivate her lies with UGM,” Banu explained.

It is known that the account @erudarahaadini belonging to Elda Putri Rahardini went viral because of a comment that was insulting in tone towards a BPJS patient who complained about waiting eight hours to get an inpatient room. The case drew even more attention after Yurizal was reported to have died.

“PP nya kayak orang Have tapi aslinya Haven’t kah? haven’t some brain cells,” wrote the account @erudarahaadini commenting on the thread by @yurizaltrich. If translated, it means: “Their PP looks like a person who has, but actually hasn’t. More like they don’t have any brain cells.”
