Jakarta (ANTARA) - Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya is ready to introduce planned, sustainable, and integrated parking solutions, serving as an effective model for urban area management, in line with Jakarta’s transformation into a global city.

“We fully support the Vice Governor’s initiative through collaboration on providing integrated, safe, and easily accessible parking land,” said the Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, Bernard Yohanes, in his statement in Jakarta on Saturday.

According to him, as part of support for area development and integrated parking solutions, his company has taken a strategic role in supporting the provision of more organised and structured parking solutions.

He stated that this support is carried out through cross-sector coordination and collaboration schemes with relevant regional apparatus, particularly the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency and the local Forkopimda.

Bernard continued that the utilisation of land to support area development is done in a gradual and measured manner, not limited to Sarana Jaya’s own assets, but also through exploring various strategic cooperation schemes among stakeholders to ensure sustainable parking solutions that provide broad benefits to the community.

Through synergy between the regional government, regional-owned enterprises, and all stakeholders, the development of the Lebak Bulus area is expected to become an effective and sustainable model for urban area management, in line with Jakarta’s transformation into an orderly, modern, and inclusive global city.

“We continue to coordinate with the Transportation Agency and related stakeholders so that the solutions provided are not temporary, but become part of sustainable urban area development,” he said.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Vice Governor Rano Karno directly led an operation to crack down on illegal parking in the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, on Friday (24/4), as a concrete step by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in developing areas and alleviating congestion that has long been a public complaint.

Rano Karno emphasised that illegal parking not only disrupts urban order but also directly impacts public interests.
