SAR Teams Evacuate Victims of Landslide at Bantargebang Integrated Waste Processing Facility; Six Bodies Recovered

Combined SAR teams evacuated victims of a landslide at the Bantargebang Integrated Waste Processing Facility (TPST) in Bekasi, West Java, on Monday 9 March 2026. According to provisional data from the Jakarta branch of Basarnas (Indonesia’s National Search and Rescue Agency) on the afternoon of Monday 9 March, six people have died and one other remains missing following the landslide at TPST Bantargebang that occurred on Sunday 8 March.

SAR personnel deployed heavy equipment to assist in the search and recovery operation. Family members and residents gathered at the site to witness the search efforts as rescue workers continued to locate missing persons among the debris.
