SAR Team: Four Victims of KMP Putri Yasmin Still Missing

The joint SAR team is searching for four victims of the fire incident involving the passenger ship KMP Putri Yasmin in the waters of the Lombok Strait, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Head of the Mataram SAR Office, Muhamad Hariyadi, said that based on the latest developments in the SAR operation for the KMP Putri Yasmin fire, there has been a change in the number of missing victims.

He said a survivor named I Ratu Agung Ayu Sekar (21), a resident of Mataram, has been reported to have returned home safely by her family.

“Based on information received by the SAR Command Post, Ayu had indeed purchased a ticket for KMP Putri Yasmin, so her name was recorded on the manifest. However, due to a change of plans, she departed earlier on 9 August 2026 using another ship,” Hariyadi explained.

With this clarification, the number of victims still being searched for by the joint SAR team now stands at four people.

“All of the victims are Indonesian citizens,” he said.

The details of the victims who have not yet been found are Yasir Arafat (37), a resident of Mataram; Selvina Rambu Mayi (28) from Sumba; I Made Sutarjana (55) from Denpasar; and Slamet Yulianto (41) from Denpasar.

“The search was temporarily halted on Friday afternoon and will resume on Saturday (15/8) morning to focus on locating the four victims who have not yet been found,” he said.
