SAR Team Evacuates Two Bodies Believed to be Victims of KM Nurul Salsa

A joint SAR team transported body bags believed to contain victims of the KM Nurul Salsa from the KN SAR Kamajaya upon arrival at Soekarno Hatta Port in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Wednesday (22/7/2026). The team successfully evacuated two bodies suspected to be victims of the sinking of the KM Nurul Salsa in the waters of the Selayar Islands on 15 July 2026. The remains were subsequently handed over to the South Sulawesi Police Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team for identification at Bhayangkara Hospital in Makassar, while 16 other victims remain the subject of ongoing search efforts.
