Sapa UMKM Service Platform Launched, Entrepreneurs Can Access Financing up to Certification
JAKARTA – The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) officially launched a one‑stop integrated service platform named Sapa UMKM on Thursday (21 May 2026). Minister for UMKM Maman Abdurrahman said the platform is designed to provide a range of services and facilities for micro, small and medium‑sized entrepreneurs. The system goes beyond data collection. Sapa UMKM also offers services that entrepreneurs need. Maman said this approach differs from the Satu Data UMKM programme, which is considered not sufficiently helpful for UMKM. The number of UMKM currently reaches 56,142,687 units. ‘If we only emphasise the Satu Data UMKM programme without other services, we will not be able to implement that programme,’ Maman said at the soft launch of Sapa UMKM at the Bappenas office, Jakarta, Thursday (21 May 2026). The data can be continually updated because the conditions of UMKM can change quickly, either moving up a class or down a class. ‘Sapa UMKM is a system by which we can track all updates on the developments of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs across our country,’ he said. The large, dispersed UMKM with diverse business types makes the Ministry difficult to reach entrepreneurs one by one. Sapa UMKM is expected to enable entrepreneurs to access various business services from wherever they are. The Ministry also prepared various benefits and facilities for entrepreneurs who register their business on Sapa UMKM. Maman likened the concept to sugar and ants. According to him, ants will come to sweet food. ‘The Ministry of UMKM must become sugar; the government must be sugar in the era of Mr Prabowo Subianto,’ said Maman.
