Sanitation drive

JAKARTA (JP): South Jakarta Mayor H. Pardjoko launched a sanitation drive on Friday with the aim of creating a clean and healthy environment for area residents.

The ceremony kicking off the drive was held at the Al Ittihad Mosque in Tebet district.

Pardjoko said the drive is expected to encourage the public to be increasingly aware of the importance of clean and healthy living as part of their belief as Moslems.

H. Noor Latief, head of the local sanitation office, explained that his office has deployed 13 dump trucks to support the drive. (25)
