Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Cyber Security Consultant from Sangfor Technologies Indonesia, Akhmad Rezha, stated that many industries believe disaster recovery is sufficient to secure data. However, according to Rezha, this is not enough as it should be integrated and converged.

“Not many understand that it should be converged, for example, a hypervisor system that has vulnerabilities within it. If there is a vulnerability, that is where danger lurks. For the government and the banking sector, for instance, this is very dangerous because it disrupts reputation,” Rezha explained at the CNBC Indonesia Tech & Telco Forum 2026 on Wednesday (6/5/2026).

Therefore, according to Rezha, cybersecurity that also incorporates automation is highly needed, not just mere virtualisation infrastructure. This is because, once converged, Rezha said the response to cybercrime will be at a high level, even “mature”.
