Sandiaga Uno's Initiative Drives Economic Independence, Opens Path for Business Expansion
Emotion welled up in Oci Rosita as she recalled her participation in the Workshop Perempuan Berdaya (Empowered Women Workshop) held in West Bandung on 5 August 2026.
For the owner of the culinary business Ceuocchyque_culinary, the activity held deep meaning because it not only broadened her business insight but also presented a golden opportunity to advance her enterprise.
Through this training programme, Oci gained new skills in processing cassava into various high-value cake variations that have now become an additional mainstay on her menu.
“Alhamdulillah, this workshop has been very beneficial. I have been helped by this training, so there are new menus in my business. I now know how to make processed cakes from cassava, which have become an additional menu for my business,” said Oci.
As a business owner who works daily in the culinary sector, she felt very grateful for the facilities and knowledge obtained free of charge. The experience left a deep emotional impression on her.
“I was moved, very sad because I had received knowledge and everything else, especially since everything was facilitated. Truly Alhamdulillah,” she said.
Furthermore, Oci revealed that the programme initiated by Sandiaga Uno succeeded in fostering strong self-confidence within her. She is increasingly motivated to prove that women have equal capacity to advance and have a positive impact on the community.
“I cried. I am sure I can become like the great women out there. Women must strengthen each other, support each other, so that we can motivate ourselves to keep up our spirits,” she said.
Going forward, Oci has high hopes that similar coaching programmes can be held sustainably to reach more women. She has also set a long-term target to expand the scale of her business while absorbing local workers.
“Hopefully after yesterday’s training there will be further training and I personally can apply it in my business so that it can develop further and provide benefits as well as job opportunities for our neighbours who need them. Aamiin,” she said.
A similar positive impression was also expressed by Agris Yuni Rispandi, owner of the Berkah Waluya cake business and manager of Halaliin Solution Group. She felt touched when the training material explored the importance of emotional intelligence for women who must balance dual roles as entrepreneurs and housewives.
“I was moved and carried away. How we as women who carry out various roles need the ability to manage emotions and mood well. The dynamics of life and business that do not always go as expected are a challenge in themselves that need to be faced with a calmer and wiser attitude,” she said.
In addition to enriching business strategy, Agris considered the network of relationships built during the event to provide added value for the future development of her business.
“Alhamdulillah, participating in this training gave me new experience, knowledge, and added friends or contacts,” she said.
“Hopefully the training will continue. Thank you for facilitating it. Hopefully the friendship and meetings do not end with yesterday’s training,” said Agris.
