Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk (SMDR) at its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) approved the distribution of total dividends worth Rp196.5 billion, equivalent to Rp12 per share, for the 2025 financial year.

The company’s total dividend includes a final dividend of Rp155.6 billion, or Rp9.5 per share, and an interim dividend of Rp40.9 billion, or Rp2.5 per share, which was paid on 29 August 2025.

“Thus, the total dividend for the 2025 financial year amounts to Rp12 per share or Rp196.5 billion,” said SMDR President Director Bani Maulana Mulia during a public presentation in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Besides being distributed as dividends, Bani stated that a portion of the 2025 profit is allocated as reserves and retained earnings to support the company’s future business expansion.

On this occasion, the company announced it will issue Sustainable Sukuk Ijarah Phase III worth Rp700 billion, which will be used to purchase two tankers with a capacity of 4,000 DWT and one container vessel with a capacity of 10,100 DWT.

“This step aims to strengthen operational capacity and support sustainable business growth,” Bani said.

Throughout 2025, the company recorded a net profit of USD 52.1 million, growing 3 percent year-on-year (yoy) compared to the previous year. The net profit was supported by revenue which grew 9 percent (yoy) to USD 801.7 million.

Meanwhile, the company’s EBITDA was recorded at USD 200.2 million, an increase of 18 percent (yoy) compared to the previous year.

As of the end of 2025, the company’s financial position was recorded as solid, with current assets of USD 623.6 million and cash and cash equivalents of USD 317.7 million. On the other hand, the company recorded interest-bearing debt consisting of short-term bank loans of USD 42.3 million, Sukuk Ijarah of USD 49.7 million, and long-term bank loans of USD 160.5 million. Meanwhile, the company’s equity was recorded at USD 773.5 million as of the end of 2025.
