Samsung's OneUI 9 Under Development: Leaked New Features
Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch its latest user interface, OneUI 9, in the near future. OneUI 9 is said to be based on the Android 17 operating system. Numerous leaks about its features have already circulated online. Several features reportedly set to arrive include Tap to Share, Bixby Widget, Warranty and Care, and others. Here are the details from the leaks. One of the new features in OneUI 9 that can be considered quite intriguing is Tap to Share. This feature allows users to share files, such as photos and videos, simply by pressing two devices together. This feature relies on NFC connectivity on both involved devices. It is said that on the Galaxy S26 series, this feature can be used by merely touching the top of one device to the other. This is because Samsung has placed the NFC antenna at the top and back of the Galaxy S26. The widget enables users to directly access voice commands or type commands from the home screen, without needing to open the Bixby interface. Reportedly, a larger version of the widget also provides a full text input field complete with a microphone icon. Samsung is also reportedly adding a new menu called Warranty and Care in the OneUI 9 device settings. This menu serves as a hub for service information, from warranty status, repairs, to diagnostic tools and remote assistance. Integration with Bixby also allows users to request help simply through voice commands.
