Samsung set to reenter TV market
JAKARTA: Electronics company PT Samsung Electronics Indonesia (SEIN) said on Wednesday it was set to market its round tube color-TVs here after reopening its factory three months ago.
SEIN closed its factory in Cikarang, West Java, in 1998 following the regional economic crisis.
SEIN sales director Nugroho S. expected the company to be able to sell 320,000 round tube TVs and 80,000 flat TVs this year.
He also said that the round tube TV would still dominate the Indonesian TV market this year with a projected sales volume of 2.35 million units, with flat TVs at 150,000 units. -- JP
