Jakarta (ANTARA) — Samsung SDS Co., the information technology services unit of South Korea’s Samsung Group, said on Tuesday that it will expand cooperation with several global artificial intelligence (AI) companies, including OpenAI and Anthropic, in an effort to drive innovation through AI transformation.

The company made the announcement at its annual high-level conference, where Samsung SDS laid out its vision to accelerate AI transformation, known as AX, across its business lines and work processes.

Samsung SDS said it will become the first South Korean company to participate as a pilot partner in OpenAI’s Daybreak Partner Programme.

Daybreak is an OpenAI cybersecurity initiative designed to integrate leading AI models into software security workflows from the earliest stages of development.

The two companies will work together to identify new AX business opportunities by combining their respective technological capabilities and business expertise.

“AX is not merely about reducing time and costs. AX means completely redesigning the way business and work are done from the ground up,” Samsung SDS CEO Lee Joon-hee said in his opening address. “AI changes the way we work, but AX changes business,” he added.

Samsung SDS is pursuing a “client zero” strategy, applying and testing AX solutions first within its own internal operations before extending them to customers.

The company is currently building AX capabilities across seven key internal processes, including development, procurement, and quality management, before applying the results to customer operations. This was reported by Yonhap on Tuesday.
