Samsung releases global One UI 8.5 for Galaxy S, Fold, and Flip series

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The technology company Samsung has reportedly officially released the stable version of the One UI 8.5 operating system update globally, after trials were completed in its home country of South Korea. According to GSM Arena reports on Monday, the Galaxy S25 series is not the only one receiving this new software. Owners of Galaxy S24 and S23 devices, including the Galaxy S23 FE series, are also expected to receive the update in the coming days. Samsung has also prepared One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy Z Flip7, Z Fold7, Z Flip6, Z Fold6, as well as the Galaxy Tab S10 and S11 series. Several Galaxy A models are also anticipated to receive One UI 8.5 in the near future, though it may take longer for Samsung to distribute it. The report advises users not to be misled by the incremental number change. One UI 8.5 is believed to introduce a substantial number of improvements and new features, including a minor UI design refresh. Among them, the most significant changes can be felt in Galaxy AI, starting from more advanced image editing and creation tools, a smarter Bixby, deeper integration with Perplexity AI, new camera features such as document scanning, real-time log video preview, and dual video recording using the selfie camera and one of the rear cameras simultaneously. There are also several other improvements to Samsung Health services, Quick Share, connectivity, and better power saving.
