Samsung Officially Launches Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro TWS, Featuring Transparent Design and Aluminium Stem
SAN FRANCISCO, KOMPAS.com - Samsung has officially launched its new True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4 series, at the Galaxy Unpacked event held at the Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco, California, USA.
KOMPAS.com journalist Lely Maulida is reporting live from Galaxy Unpacked, which took place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, local time, or Thursday, February 26, 2026, early morning in Indonesian time.
The Galaxy Buds 4 series, launched alongside the Galaxy S26 series smartphones, comes in two models: the Buds 4 “regular” and the Buds 4 Pro.
These devices are the successors to the Galaxy Buds 3 series, which was released in July 2024.
The Galaxy Buds 4 series features a different design from its predecessors, particularly in the design of the device’s charging case. The charging case now has a semi-transparent design, especially on the lid.
In addition, the design of the Galaxy Buds 4 series also returns to a horizontal box shape with curved edges, similar to the Galaxy Buds 2 series.
This is slightly different from the Buds 3 series, which featured a box design but was oriented vertically or positioned standing up.
However, the Galaxy Buds 4 series still retains the stemmed earbud design, similar to its predecessors, and is decorated with metal material.
The Galaxy Buds 4 series boasts improved hi-fi audio quality, more stable Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and AI-based features for everyday use.
“The Galaxy Buds 4 Series is equipped with a two-way speaker with a wider vibration area, Dual Amplifier, Adaptive ANC, and Ultra High Quality Audio support,” said Samsung Product Management, Andrew Short, on the Galaxy Unpacked stage.
“This combination delivers clearer, more distinct, deeper, and more detailed sound,” Short claimed.
The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro features an in-ear design using silicone ear tips. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Buds 4 features an open-ear design without ear tips.
The in-ear design on the Pro version essentially isolates sound better. However, Samsung says that both models have improved ANC stability and reliability compared to the previous generation.
The company did not highlight the decibel reduction figures, but claims that the improved ANC will be immediately noticeable when used.
