Jakarta (ANTARA) – Samsung has introduced Perplexity as an additional artificial intelligence (AI) agent within the Galaxy AI feature, aiming to enhance contextual assistance and support daily workflows on Galaxy devices.

As reported by Gizmochina on Wednesday, Samsung states that Galaxy AI is now being developed into an open platform, allowing multiple AI agents to work together within a single operating system, rather than being limited to individual applications.

This move is intended to reduce the number of steps required for users to complete tasks, as the AI service can comprehensively understand the context of use.

Samsung believes that, as more users utilise various AI applications for different tasks, a more open and flexible framework is needed.

Galaxy AI is positioned as an orchestrator, connecting various AI services into a single, integrated experience. This system-level integration also allows Samsung to include partner services while maintaining interface consistency across all Galaxy devices.

Once activated, this feature can function across several built-in Samsung applications, including Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminder, and Calendar, to help complete multi-step tasks more efficiently.

Samsung states that details regarding supported devices and the launch schedule will be announced later. Through this development, Samsung aims to create an inclusive AI ecosystem, giving users greater control over AI functions in their daily digital activities, while still providing a seamless and easily accessible experience.
