Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide prepared as a rival to iPhone Fold

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Samsung is reportedly preparing a variant of the foldable phone Galaxy Z Fold 8 with a wider screen, called the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide. According to Gizmochina on Friday, leaks of the phone’s design have appeared online, showing its initial appearance. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide is designed as a rival to Apple’s foldable phone, often referred to as the iPhone Fold. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide has dimensions of 123.9 x 82.2 x 9.8 mm when folded, and measures about 4.9 mm at the thinnest part when opened. The main change is also evident in the screen aspect, where the outer screen is said to be 5.4 inches (13.7 cm), while the main screen reaches 7.6 inches (19.3 cm). The wider ratio on the outer screen is considered to provide a more comfortable user experience for daily activities compared to the narrower design of previous generations. In addition, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide is said to be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging via cable and 25W wirelessly. The presence of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide is seen as a continuation of Samsung’s strategy in developing its foldable phone line, rather than introducing major changes from the existing concept.
