Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Series: Specifications and Prices Revealed

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Samsung officially introduced the Galaxy Tab S12 Series as its latest flagship tablet line at the end of September 2026. The series consists of the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, featuring Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, Galaxy AI, and the S Pen included in the package.

In Indonesia, both tablets were introduced on 1 October 20ly. The Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra are available in Wi-Fi and 5G variants, with prices starting from Rp21,999,000.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ Specifications

The Galaxy Tab S12+ features a 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,752 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits.

The tablet measures 187.8 x 289.5 x 5.3 millimetres, weighing 553 grams for the Wi-Fi version and 555 grams for the 5G version. The device also holds an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.

For performance, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Tab S12+ with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, built on a 3-nanometer process. This chip is paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD up to 2 TB.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ carries a 10,600 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Samsung claims the device can last up to 21 hours on a single charge, with a 0 to 100 per cent charge taking approximately 95 minutes.

In terms of cameras, the tablet features a 13 MP rear camera and a 12 MP ultrawide front camera. The audio system utilises four speakers with 4-channel spatial audio support.

As the top-tier model, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra features a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2,960 x 1,848 pixels. The screen also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra measures 208.5 x 326.3 x 5.1 millimetres. It weighs 692 grams for the Wi-Fi version and 695 grams for the 5G version. At just 5.1 millimetres thick, it is one of the thinnest Galaxy Tab models introduced by the company.

Regarding performance, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra uses the 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. Memory options are more diverse, offering 12 GB of RAM with either 256 GB or 512 GB of storage, as well as a 16 GB RAM variant with 1 TB of storage. Storage can also be expanded via microSD up to 2 TB.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra with an 11,600 mAh battery and 45W charging. Battery life is claimed to reach 23 hours on a single charge, with a full charge taking about 95 minutes.

For cameras, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 13 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide camera. The front camera is a 12 MP ultrawide lens.

Both tablets run on Android 17 with the One UI 9 interface. Samsung also provides several Galaxy AI features to assist with productivity and creativity.

The Multi Window feature allows users to run multiple activities simultaneously. Users can open materials, take notes, and access AI-based features on a single screen.

Samsung also includes the S Pen in the box. The stylus can be used for note-taking, drawing, and annotating documents. A Note Assist feature is also available to help manage and summarise notes.

To support prolonged usage, the Galaxy Tab S12 Series is equipped with a 3D Vapor Chamber cooling system. Samsung stated that this system is designed to maintain performance during heavy tasks such as video editing or graphic design.

Samsung also promises up to seven years of operating system and security updates for both the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra.

For the Indonesian market, the Galaxy Tab S12+ Wi-Fi is priced at Rp21,999,000, while the 5G version is priced at Rp23,499,000.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Wi-Fi is sold for Rp25,499,000, and the 5G version is priced at Rp27,999,000.

Samsung has also opened a Reservation+ programme until 31 October 2026. Consumers can make a reservation with a deposit of Rp300,000 and receive a discount of Rp1,500,000 upon checkout. This discount value includes the paid deposit.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Series is scheduled to be available starting 7 October 2026 in certain markets. For Indonesia, availability and sales programme information will follow Samsung’s specific guidelines for each sales channel.
