Jakarta (ANTARA) – Samsung’s Galaxy S27 Ultra is likely to use a Qualcomm chip exclusively, unlike other models in the Galaxy S27 range, which are expected to use the Exynos 2700.

According to a GSM Arena report on Sunday (11 October), the latest information from an industry leaker says the Exynos 2700 has achieved good production yields. However, the chances of the chip being used in the Galaxy S27 Ultra remain slim.

Samsung has reportedly not made a final decision, but using a Qualcomm chip is considered the most likely scenario for the Galaxy S27 Ultra.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+ and the new Galaxy S27 Pro are said to use different chips depending on the markets where they are sold.

The three models are expected to feature Exynos chips in Europe and South Korea, while versions sold in China and the United States will be powered by Snapdragon chips.

Compared with SF2, used in the Exynos 2600, SF2P is claimed to improve performance by up to 12 per cent, cut power consumption by 25 per cent and reduce chip area by 8 per cent.

The chip is also expected to use ARM C2 CPU cores, which could improve performance in next-generation phones.

Previous reports said Samsung had raised its production target for the Exynos 2700 by more than 10 per cent compared with the Exynos 2600. The increase is intended to meet demand for the next generation of Galaxy phones, including the Galaxy S27 Pro.

Samsung also has a long-standing strategic relationship with Qualcomm as a supplier of chips for its premium phones. This is another factor in its decision on which processors to use across the Galaxy S27 series.
