Jakarta (ANTARA) — The Samsung Galaxy S27 has received a safety certification from Denmark-based testing organisation UL Solutions (Demko), revealing that the device supports 25W fast charging by cable.

According to a Gizmochina report on Friday, the certification lists an electrical rating of 9V DC and 2.77A, or approximately 24.93W, for various global Galaxy S27 variants. This is in line with a Chinese 3C certification database document that circulated earlier.

The global model codes listed include SM-S952U and SM-S952U1 (United States), SM-S952W (Canada), SM-S9520 (China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), SC-51H, SM-S952Q and SM-S952Z (Japan), SM-S952B and SM-S952B/DS (Europe), and SM-S952N (South Korea).

The higher-end S27 Pro and S27 Ultra models are expected to support faster wired charging.

Although the UL Solutions certification document does not specify battery capacity or wireless charging capability, the standard variant is expected to retain 15W wireless charging.

The Samsung Galaxy S27 series, which is expected to comprise four models, is tipped to launch officially in late January or early February.
