Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro image quality rivals Ultra thanks to ALoP camera
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro is reportedly equipped with an ALoP telephoto camera offering approximately 3.5x optical zoom and a 50MP sensor said to produce better quality photos than the Galaxy S27 Ultra variant.
According to Gizmochina on Thursday (28 May) local time, this image quality is achieved because the Galaxy S27 Ultra is rumoured to remove the separate 3x telephoto camera and rely more on cropping from the 200MP main sensor for medium zoom.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S27 Pro is said to retain a dedicated optical zoom camera optimised for 2x to 5x magnification, commonly used for portrait photography, indoor shooting, and everyday photography. As a result, photos from the Galaxy S27 Pro offer superior quality to the Ultra variant in the zoom ranges most frequently used by users.
The main differences between the two models lie in the zoom system, device size, and additional features such as S Pen stylus support, which is likely exclusive to the Ultra model.
The Galaxy S27 Pro will debut as a ‘mini Ultra’ variant with a more compact design and a flat 6.4 to 6.5-inch display while boasting specifications comparable to the top-tier model.
This aligns with a trend among smartphone manufacturers to focus on commonly used camera focal lengths rather than simply increasing the number of sensors.
