Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Finally Features 60-Watt Fast Charging
Samsung has finally increased the charging speed on its latest flagship phone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The smartphone now supports 60-watt fast charging via cable.
This 60-watt fast charging support makes the Galaxy S26 Ultra have a higher charging speed compared to the previous generation. On the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung only provided 45-watt cable charging support.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra itself is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery. With 60-watt fast charging support, the phone’s battery is claimed to be able to be charged up to around 75 percent in just 30 minutes.
For comparison, the 45-watt charging support on the Galaxy S25 Ultra takes longer to reach the same capacity. In terms of calculation, the charging speed of the Galaxy S26 Ultra has increased by about 33 percent.
With this charging speed, the battery charging process for the Galaxy S26 Ultra becomes faster. Users can charge their phones, at least until almost full, in a short time.
This increased charging support can also make it easier for users who have high mobility. This is because the phone can be used again in a relatively short time, even if it is only charged for a short time.
In addition to supporting fast charging via cable, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is also equipped with a 25-watt wireless charging feature. This support has not changed compared to the previous generation, and can be used as an alternative for wireless charging.
It is important to note that in order to enjoy this maximum charging speed, users must use an adapter or charger head that already supports a 60-watt power output.
Samsung has long not included a charger head in the packaging, so users have to buy it separately.
The good news is that you are not required to use the original Samsung charger. Third-party adapter can also be used as long as it meets the 60-watt power specification and uses a compatible fast charging protocol.
This phone debuted along with two other models, namely the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus. In the Galaxy 26 Series line, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is designed as the highest-end model.
The Samsung S26 Ultra comes with a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, QHD Plus resolution and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
As the highest-end model, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is equipped with a number of more sophisticated features. This includes design, camera, battery, to artificial intelligence (AI) based features.
