Samsung Galaxy S26 Trio Is Agentic AI Phone, Not Ordinary AI Mobile Device
Samsung Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra were officially launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event held in San Francisco, California, on Thursday, 26 February 2026.
This flagship trio brings several improvements, including artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
The Samsung S26 Series is not merely an ordinary AI smartphone. Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S26 Series as an Agentic AI Phone, which is more intuitive, adaptive, and personalised to be more functional and practical for users.
“Imagine a phone that could anticipate your needs even before you realise them yourself. A phone that learns your behaviour and adapts in real-time. A phone that becomes your right hand. This is the Agentic AI Phone,” said Samsung’s CEO and Head of Device Experience, TM Roh, when introducing the Galaxy S26 Series on stage.
With this capability, the device can act autonomously without requiring users to tap the screen or issue specific voice commands.
This differs from conventional AI, which still requires highly detailed prompts from users to execute commands.
The agentic AI capability in the Samsung S26 Series is supported by Google Gemini. Sameer Samat, President of Android and Ecosystem, who appeared on the Galaxy Unpacked stage, demonstrated an agentic AI scenario on the Samsung S26 phone.
For example, when a family group chat notification arrives and the user does not have time to open it. It turns out the group chat is discussing pizza dinner plans. Each group member has communicated varied orders, ranging from large drinks, pizza without onions, and other customised menu items.
The variety of orders would typically require time to place them online. This is where agentic AI proves useful.
“I simply ask Gemini to execute it. I ask Gemini to read the group chat, find out what they all ordered, and request it to place the order directly via my favourite food delivery application,” Samat explained.
“I continue driving my car, whilst Gemini completes the food order,” he added.
