Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Price Update: Significant Increase, Here's Why
Samsung Electronics Indonesia has officially launched its latest flagship series, the Galaxy S26 Series, at the end of February 2026. Unlike previous years, consumers will have to dig deeper into their pockets this time as there has been a significant price increase across all variants.
The price increase in 2026 ranges from IDR 1.5 million to IDR 3 million. Here are the details of the official retail price (MSRP) for the Indonesian market:
Many prospective buyers are questioning the reason behind this price increase. Samsung Indonesia, through its representative, explained that there are several external and internal factors that influence the price structure this year:
Despite the price increase, Samsung is offering compensation in the form of massive specification upgrades. The Galaxy S26 Ultra variant remains the flagship model with a 6.9-inch QHD+ screen and a Privacy Display feature that prevents the screen from being viewed from the side.
In the photography sector, the 200MP camera on the Ultra model is now supported by an AI-based Pro Visual Engine that is capable of producing night photos comparable to professional cameras. Meanwhile, the regular variant now has a larger battery, namely 4,300 mAh, in a body that is actually thinner (7.2 mm). (Z-4)
