Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra Officially Released in Indonesia
Following a pre-order period, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series has officially launched in Indonesia on Wednesday, 18 March 2026. The smartphone comes in three models: Galaxy S26 “standard”, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
With the official launch of Samsung’s latest devices in Indonesia, consumers can now purchase the Galaxy S26 series directly through various channels, including Samsung Store, Samsung.com/id and nearby mobile phone retail outlets.
“From 18 March 2026, the Galaxy S26 Series is officially available and can be purchased directly, allowing users to immediately experience the best camera experience for their precious moments,” said Ilham Indrawan, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager for Samsung Electronics Indonesia.
The smartphone features significant improvements to the Nightography feature, which enhances low-light photo quality to produce brighter images with reduced noise.
“The camera has always been a key reason why users choose the Galaxy S Series year after year. For this reason, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, we have introduced improvements to camera hardware and software to produce sharper and brighter photos and videos in various lighting conditions, including when capturing the festive moments of the takbiran celebrations that are just around the corner,” explained Ilham.
The improved Nightography feature on the Galaxy S26 Ultra is supported by a larger camera aperture of f/1.4 compared to f/1.7 on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Samsung has also equipped the Galaxy S26 series camera with new features such as Horizontal Lock, which keeps video level and stable even when the phone is tilted or rotated up to 360 degrees.
Beyond camera capabilities, AI features in the Samsung Galaxy S26 series have been enhanced to make user activities easier. For example, the Now Nudge feature can automatically recommend follow-up actions that users can select.
For instance, when a user is asked by a friend to send a photo, the system will immediately display shortcuts to relevant images without needing to open the gallery and search for photos manually.
The device also includes Call Screening, which answers unknown calls with hidden numbers, detects spam or fraud calls, and provides phishing warnings when calls are deemed suspicious.
Samsung has also introduced a new feature called Privacy Display, which is the first of its kind in the world. This feature is designed to prevent others from viewing the screen from the side—commonly known as shoulder surfing—especially when users are opening personal messages, work email or banking applications.
Samsung is also providing two exclusive colour options, Pink Gold and Silver Shadow, for online purchases.
