Samsung Galaxy A18 4G Officially Debuts with Exynos 1610 Chipset

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A1lar 4G as an affordable smartphone powered by the company’s own Exynos 1610 chipset.

According to a report from Gizmochina on Wednesday (16/9) local time, the device was previously rumoured to use the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, based on testing results that emerged last August. While that chipset was used in several previous Samsung models, such as the Galaxy A15, A16, and A17 4G, Samsung has ultimately opted for the Exynos 1610 for the Galaxy A18 4G.

The Galaxy A18 4G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone possesses a flat frame with rounded corners and a waterdrop-style notch at the front to house the selfie camera.

The Galaxy A18 4G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. Samsung claims the battery can be charged to 50 per cent in approximately 30 minutes.

The device also brings several Galaxy AI features, including Circle to Search and Gemini integration. These features allow users to perform various commands using everyday natural language, such as sending messages or adding agendas to a calendar.

In terms of durability, the Galaxy A18 4G holds an IP64 certification, providing protection against dust and water splashes. The phone runs on One UI 9.0 based on Android 17 and is promised six years of operating system and security updates.

Samsung is offering the Galaxy A18 4G in Black, Gray, and Light Blue. The device features a base memory variant of 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

In Europe, the Galaxy A18 4G is priced starting from 280 euros (IDR 5.6 million) in France, 3,290 Norwegian kroner (IDR 6.2 million) in Norway, and 3,290 Swedish krona (IDR 5.9 million) in Sweden.

Specifically for Norway and Sweden, a 256GB storage variant is also available, priced at 5,190 Norwegian kroner (IDR 9.8 million) and 5,190 Swedish krona (IDR 9.3 million) respectively.
