Samsung Fold 6 Screen Protector Warranty Expires Before Two-Year Promise
I purchased a new Samsung Fold 6 at the official Samsung store in Grand Indonesia mall in August 2024. The Samsung sales representative explained the premium service and warranty for the Fold series screen protector, assuring me it was covered by Samsung Indonesia’s warranty for two years.
After approximately 1.5 years of use, the screen protector on my Samsung Fold 6 began to peel off. I took the unit to the Samsung service centre at Mall of Indonesia.
I was asked to pay Rp 250,000 on top of the service fee, as the warranty had allegedly expired. The reason given was that the two-year warranty only applied to pre-order purchases, and since I had bought the device directly from a Samsung shop, only a one-year warranty applied.
As a customer, I am disappointed because at the time of purchase, the sales representative clearly stated the warranty was for two years. I request a response and a resolution. Thank you.
