Samsung Electronics Posts Record Operating Profit in Q3 2026

Seoul (ANTARA) – Samsung Electronics posted record operating profit in the third quarter (Q3) of 2026, marking its best profit performance for four consecutive quarters, according to a filing submitted to regulators on Thursday (8 October).

The South Korean technology giant reported preliminary operating profit of 107.4 trillion won (one won = Rp13.36) for July to September, up 782.5% from the same period a year earlier.

The result extended the record run that began in the fourth quarter (Q4) of last year and exceeded market expectations of around 105.7 trillion won.

Samsung Electronics’ preliminary revenue surged 126.6% year on year to 195 trillion won in Q3 2026, setting another company record for the fourth consecutive quarter.

Its operating margin reached a record 55.1% amid surging demand for semiconductors used in artificial intelligence (AI) chipsets.

Net profit and detailed financial results for each business unit are also due to be announced later this month.
