Samsung Confirms OneUI 9 Launch Timeline for Older Galaxy Devices

Samsung previously released its latest operating system for the Galaxy S26 series, which launched early this year, and is now beginning its global market rollout. Following that, new information has revealed the launch timeline for the operating system for previous generation mobile phones.

A report from Gizmochina on Monday (21/9) local time stated that this news was confirmed via a Samsung press release in Thailand, which announced that the Galaxy S26 series in that region will receive the OneUI 9.0 update on 21 September 2026.

Although technically the announcement applies only to the Thailand region, it is highly probable that other regions will receive the update around the same time. Similar to the updates for the Galaxy S26 series, the announcement was limited to Thailand, but the same conditions should apply globally.

Additionally, Samsung has promised that the Galaxy S23 FE will receive the new operating system update in October, though no specific date has been provided yet.

While the OneUI 9 launch window appears promising, because the information was only published in one region, it may currently be a provisional plan that could change in the future. Nevertheless, the launch date for the operating system is approaching for older phone models, and the accuracy of these details will be revealed shortly.
