Samsung Browser for Windows Officially Released, Here Are Its Key Features

Samsung Electronics is expanding the availability of its browser by releasing Samsung Browser for the Windows operating system. Previously, this browser was a pre-installed app on Samsung mobile devices. The Windows version allows users to access a similar browsing experience on PC devices. One of the included features is the ability to continue browsing activities from mobile devices to computers, including previously opened pages. Samsung Browser also connects with Samsung Pass to support storage of login data and automatic form filling. This feature is designed to facilitate access to various digital services while maintaining user data security. In its latest version, Samsung has incorporated AI-based features developed in collaboration with Perplexity AI. This technology enables the browser to understand natural language commands and the context of the currently open page. These features can be used to assist users in navigating content, managing tabs, and summarising information from multiple pages without switching applications. The AI capabilities are also applied to the information search process. Users can find content more specifically without opening multiple pages. For video content, the system can recognise specific parts and play directly from the relevant segment. Additionally, browsing history search no longer relies on keywords or access times. Users can use simple descriptions to find previously opened pages. Samsung Browser also introduces a feature that allows users to view summaries and comparisons of information from multiple tabs at once. This feature is aimed at helping users understand various sources of information in a single view. Samsung Browser for Windows can be used on devices with Windows 11 and Windows 10 version 1809 or newer operating systems. Meanwhile, the AI-based features are currently available on a limited basis in South Korea and the United States, and are planned to be expanded to other regions.
