Samsung brings Galaxy S26 FE to Indonesia, priced from Rp11 million
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Samsung has officially brought the Galaxy S26 FE to the Indonesian market, priced from Rp11 million, after the handset was first introduced globally at the end of August 2026.
The smartphone arrives with improvements to its chip, camera features, and a wider range of memory options for Indonesian users.
“We are bringing a great many updates for those who want to move up a class and experience true flagship-level performance. And this is the Galaxy S26 FE,” said Ilham Indrawan, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager at Samsung Electronics Indonesia, at the Galaxy S26 FE launch event in Jakarta on Monday.
Looking at its specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and peak brightness of 1,900 nits. For screen protection, the handset comes with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+.
With this chip, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is promised to deliver 11 per cent faster CPU performance and 51 per cent stronger NPU performance for processing artificial intelligence (AI) workloads.
In terms of the operating system, the smartphone is equipped with Samsung’s latest OneUI 9.0 based on Android 17, making it the first phone in the S26 series to ship with the newest version of Android.
Notably, Samsung is offering up to seven major operating system updates, with the same applying to security updates. These updates indicate that the Galaxy S26 FE can be used by its owners over the long term.
Turning to the camera specifications, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S26 FE with three rear cameras: a 50MP main camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera.
On the front there is a single 12MP main camera with an 85-degree field of view, allowing for wider shots when capturing subjects.
Regarding power, the smartphone is fitted with a 4,900 mAh battery along with 45W fast wired charging, and 15W wireless charging support is also available.
There are three storage options on offer: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, all supported by 8GB of RAM.
In terms of design, the rear of the Galaxy S26 FE retains the signature look of the S26 series, available in three colour options: Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio.
As for pricing details, the Galaxy S26 FE is offered starting from Rp11,999,000 for the 8GB/128GB RAM/ROM variant, Rp13,999,000 for the 8GB/256GB variant, while the price of the 8GB/512GB variant will be revealed closer to its first sale.
Judging by these prices, there is a significant price increase compared with its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 FE, which was offered from Rp9,999,000.
Samsung is currently taking early reservations, available until 10 September 2026 through the Samsung.com website, allowing users to receive a Rp500,000 discount when the Galaxy S26 FE becomes fully available in the Indonesian market on 11 September 2026.
