Samsat and SIM Services Closed for Islamic New Year Holiday

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Traffic Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police will not operate the One-Stop Administration Services Office (Samsat) and driving licence (SIM) extension services on Tuesday, as the day coincides with the Islamic New Year 1448 Hijriah holiday.

“On Tuesday, 16 June 2026, services at the Daan Mogot SIM Centre, Jakarta SIM units, Jakarta SIM outlet units, and mobile SIM units will be closed,” the @TMCPoldaMetro account posted on X (Twitter) on Tuesday.

Motor vehicle tax payment services via Samsat will reopen on Wednesday (17/6). Meanwhile, holders of SIM cards that expire on 16 June 2026 can extend them on Wednesday (17/6) using the extension mechanism. Holders who fail to extend their SIM by the Wednesday deadline will be required to follow the new SIM issuance mechanism.

The Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate also suspended vehicle registration certificate (BPKB) services for the Islamic New Year holiday. BPKB services will be closed on Tuesday (16/6) and will resume on Wednesday (17/6).
