PT HM Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) has received the Terpuji Business Programme Award in the Innovative Contributor to National Economic Growth category at the detikBali-Nusra Awards 2026. The award was presented by detikcom Regional Manager Triono Wahyu Sudibyo and received by PT HM Sampoerna Tbk Regional Territory Manager Ine Raissa Kelia at The Trans Resort Bali on Friday (3/7/2026). The accolade recognises Sampoerna’s contribution to driving national economic growth through innovation across its business value chain and strengthening partnerships with various business actors. Operating in Indonesia for more than 112 years, Sampoerna continues to reinforce its role as part of the national economy. The company partners with over 22,500 tobacco and clove farmers, collaborates with more than 1.5 million retail outlets, and supports the creation of around 90,000 jobs through its business activities. In 2025, the economic impact of Sampoerna’s business activities reached approximately Rp 204.1 trillion per year, equivalent to about 1 per cent of Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) with a multiplier ratio of 1.7 times. This contribution is also supported by various human resource development programmes, ranging from training and talent development to mentoring micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in various regions. One of its flagship programmes is the Sampoerna Retail Community (SRC). Since its launch in 2008, the programme has mentored around 250,000 grocery stores across Indonesia. The total turnover generated by the SRC network reached Rp 251 trillion per year, equivalent to 9.46 per cent of the national retail GDP in 2025. In terms of business performance, the results of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) for the 2025 financial year showed Sampoerna’s sales volume reached 79.4 billion sticks. The company also maintained its position as the leader of the national tobacco industry with a market share of 30.7 per cent. Sampoerna also recorded a net profit of Rp 6.6 trillion in 2025, relatively stable compared to the previous year, reflecting the company’s strong business fundamentals amid various challenges in the tobacco industry.
