Sampoerna Group Hosts UMKM Festival to Drive Sustainable Growth
Sampoerna Strategic Group has once again presented its UMKM Festival, themed ‘Resilient UMKM, Growing Economy’, in celebration of Sampoerna’s 113th anniversary. The event serves as a platform for micro, small, and medium enterprises to accelerate local products so they are better prepared to compete in the global market. The festival, which has been held regularly for five years, encompasses capacity building, network and market expansion, as well as assistance with business licensing and certification. It took place at Sampoerna Strategic Square over three days, from 19 to 21 August 2026.
Attendees included Assistant Deputy for Supply Chain Partnership and Small Business Marketing at the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Yogia Prihartiny, Head of Small and Medium Enterprises at the Jakarta Provincial PPKUKM Office Juremi, Expert Staff for Priority Investment Sector Development at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM Dedi Latip, President Director of Bank Sahabat Sampoerna Ali Rukmijah, Chief ESME of Bank Sahabat Sampoerna Rudy Mahasin, CEO of Sampoerna Kayoe Rudiyanto Tan, GM of Sampoerna Land Muhaimin Toha, and Director of Sampoerna Land Sentosa Sitia.
Festival organising committee head Luqmanul Hakim said the event opened space for 118 participating UMKM tenants to promote their business products and encouraged business actors to move up a class. ‘This year marks the fifth year of the UMKM Festival. Through this activity, we continue to encourage collaboration and consistency in strengthening the real sector, while serving as an acceleration platform for UMKM development in Indonesia. This festival is also a means to strengthen connectivity between UMKM actors and Sampoerna Strategic Group and create a sustainable impact for UMKM actors,’ he said.
In addition to talk shows on various relevant UMKM themes, Sampoerna Strategic Group presented products from UMKM actors in the craft, fashion, travel, culinary, and printing sectors at the event. The group also facilitated consultation services for obtaining Business Identification Number (NIB) legality, halal product certificate consultation, tax consultation, brand and intellectual property rights consultation, and distribution permit consultation (PIRT etc.).
Assistant Deputy for Supply Chain Partnership and Small Business Marketing at the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Yogia Prihartiny emphasised that collaboration between government and private institutions is expected to address various challenges faced by UMKM while providing support for long-term business sustainability. ‘This event is not merely a festival, but an acceleration platform for UMKM actors. We see this festival as a momentum for business actors to learn, build networks, and grow together. Cross-sector collaboration is clear evidence in building a people’s economy and providing a positive impact on UMKM growth,’ Yogia explained.
Luqman added that the UMKM Festival is expected to be a catalyst for UMKM actors to remain resilient in facing various situations and to utilise the various support provided to grow and develop. ‘Our commitment is that UMKM can provide a sustainable positive impact on the Indonesian economy,’ Luqman concluded.
