Samosir Regency Distributes Aid to Tornado Victims

To alleviate the burden on communities affected by tornado and fire disasters, the Samosir Regency Government has distributed aid in the form of building materials to the people of Hutanamora Village, Samosir Regency.

The Deputy Regent of Samosir, Ariston Tua Sidauruk, stated that the assistance was provided to ease the hardships faced by those impacted by the disasters.

“This aid is a form of government care to lighten the burden of families experiencing this misfortune. We hope these families remain resilient and steadfast in facing this trial. The government is present to provide support and strength to the community,” Aristion said in Samosir on Thursday (17/9).

Ariston emphasised that government care does not stop at providing aid, but also involves ensuring that the community receives attention when facing difficult conditions. Previously, the Samosir Regency Government, through the Social Affairs Office, had also provided assistance to the victims as part of the government’s response to the disaster-affected population.

For the victims’ families, this attention holds significant meaning. Amidst the efforts to rebuild their homes and lives, the government’s presence provides a sense that they are being looked after and are not facing the disaster alone. The building materials received can be used to accelerate house repairs.

One of the beneficiaries, Vincen Turnip, expressed his gratitude to the Samosir Regency Government for the attention provided. “We would like to thank you for this care,” said Vincen.
